New Rose Queen Announced

It was a special night at the Rose Garden in Tyler as the Queen of this year's Texas Rose Festival was announced.

Katherine Clair Noel King was introduced as the 72nd Queen, in front of a crowded room.

King graduated from All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler in 2004.  She is currently a student at the University of Mississippi.

Stacy Ann Horton was named Duchess of the annual Rose Festival.

The festival will be held October 13-16.  This year's theme is "The Greatness of Britain"

    Numerous East Texas athletes and coaches enjoyed a night of fellowship at All Saints High School for the annual FCA Heart of a Champion tailgate. The softball, baseball, and football all-stars along with cheerleaders will take the field one last time in June for their respective games. Monday night though, the players were introduced and had the opportunity to hear from guest speak Stephen McGee.
