Incentive Program To Begin In Tyler

Over the next three years, some Tyler Independent School District teachers could make up to $28,000, in addition to their regular salaries.

The program, announced this week, is meant to attract quality teachers to two schools labeled "priority campuses", Griffin Elementary and Stewart Middle School. The goal, to ultimately increase test scores.

The district is taking applications right now for the program which is set to start next school year.
