4 arrested in Marshall drug bust

From the Marshall Police Department

Four people have been arrested in Marshall following a narcotics investigation.

Marshall Police Department MCAT, SWAT and the Criminal Investigation Bureau officer executed a search warrant Wednesday in the 2000 block of West Houston Street. The residence was under investigation for suspicion of narcotics trafficking.

A search uncovered a substantial amount of illegal narcotics, including marijuana; cocaine; ecstasy; xanax and methamphetamine. Firearms, along with stolen property and an undisclosed amount of cash, were also found.

Four suspects were arrested:

  • Keith Ladell Wobbington, 42, of Hallsville, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 > 4 gram < 200 grams, which is a 2nd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 1> gram < 4 grams, which is a 3rd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 < 28gram which is a Class “A” Misdemeanor; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon which is a 3rd degree felony and Wobbington also had seven (7) Class “C” Misdemeanor Traffic Warrants.
  • Artis Ledale Williams, 46, of Marshall, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >4gram < 200gram which is a 2nd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >1gram <4gram which is a 3rd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 < 28gram which is a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
  • Anthony James Cook, 30, of Marshall, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >4gram < 200gram which is a 2nd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >1gram <4gram which is a 3rd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 < 28gram which is a Class “A” Misdemeanor; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon which is a 3rd degree felony.
  • LaQuance Ashun Jackson, 27, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >4gram < 200gram which is a 2nd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >1gram <4gram which is a 3rd degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 < 28gram which is a Class “A” Misdemeanor; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon which is a 3rd degree felony.
