Wednesday's Weather: Afternoon showers. Highs in the 50s

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - We'll stay chilly today, with increasing clouds, and a chance for scattered showers this afternoon and evening.

We're starting our Wednesday in the upper 30s to low 40s across East Texas, so bundle up before you head out the door! These mostly cloudy skies will stick around all day, with winds out of the east, from 5-10 mph.

Moisture will begin to increase in the region, as an upper level disturbance builds in from the west. As this happens, the chance (40%) for scattered showers will begin to build into East Texas this afternoon. Highs will drop into the low 50s.

Showers will continue overnight, through early tomorrow morning. We'll start our Thursday in the low to mid 40s, warming into the upper 50s in the afternoon.

By Friday, a stronger disturbance will build into East Texas, from the southwest. This will bring a better chance (70%) for showers for the end of the work week. A cold front, associated with that low, will cool highs into the lower 50s on Friday.

Skies will clear behind the front for the weekend, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s, and highs in the low to mid 50s.

Have a wonderful day!
