January is Literacy Awareness month. KLTV and the Literacy Council of Tyler are joining East Texas in the fight against illiteracy.
Many adults have benefited from the literacy awareness program. Last year, 2700 adults learned to read! Sadly, OVER 45,000 adults living in East Texas don't know how to read. If that's not convincing enough, an additional one-half of the adults living in Smith County read at or below an eighth grade reading level. Let's make a difference in OUR community!
Contact the Tyler Literacy Council at 903-533-0330 to find out how to get started.
