EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - We'll have another beautiful day across East Texas, with plenty of sunshine, and highs just above average.
A ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere, centered over the central plains, will continue to bring sunny skies to the region for your Friday. After another chilly start to the day, with morning temps in the upper 50s, we'll warm back into the mid 80s this afternoon. Winds will stay out of the south from 5-10 mph.
These warmer than average conditions won't last much longer. A cold front, very weak, will move into East Texas tonight. Moving in from the north, the front will be along I-30 around 7 p.m. tonight. The front will continue to push to the south, along I-20 by about 7 a.m. tomorrow, finally pushing through all of East Texas by 7 p.m. tomorrow. We'll stay dry as the front passes through, but temps will drop slightly. Cooler air will filter in from the north behind the front.
Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies. We'll fall into the upper 50s to start our Saturday. By Saturday afternoon, as winds shift out of the north from 5-10 mph, highs will fall back into the upper 70s to low 80s. Mostly sunny skies will stick around all weekend, with highs falling into the mid to upper 70s for your Sunday.
We'll have another weak, dry, cold front move through Monday night, into Tuesday. We'll stay sunny all week, with lows in the mid to upper 50s and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
