EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -
A broad ridge of high pressure will keep skies clear across East Texas for your Thursday. This ridge, centered over the Central Plains, will continue to bring sunny skies to the region through the weekend. This will keep our morning temps cool, in the upper 50s before the sun rises. As winds shift, out of the south today, highs will get a little warmer compared to the last few days. We'll warm into the mid 80s for our highs this afternoon.By
Friday, a weak disturbance will build into the region, along the outer boundary of the ridge. This will bring a weak cold front through East Texas Friday night, stalling along I-20 Saturday morning, before it falls apart. Behind the front, highs will drop into the low 80s. We'll stay dry through the weekend, with sunny skies. Another weak front will move through late Monday. This front, meeting up with a bit more moisture from the gulf, could bring a few isolated showers or thundershowers into East Texas Monday evening through Tuesday morning. The chance for rain will be 20%. Highs will fall into the upper 70s behind this next front, through mid-week.Have a great day!?Copyright 2014 KLTV. All rights reserved.
