EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - We'll have another beautiful day across East Texas, with sunny skies and highs below average.
Winds will stay out of the northwest across the area today, behind the disturbance that brought us plenty of rain over the weekend. This breeze will continue to bring in cooler air, so highs will stay in the mid 70s this afternoon. It won't be quite as breezy as yesterday, with winds staying around 5 mph. Expect sunny skies for your Wednesday!
?Tonight, expect clear skies to continue. With the lack of clouds, lows will get chilly overnight. We'll start our Wednesday in the upper 40s to low 50s.
A ridge of high pressure will continue to bring clear skies to East Texas through the end of the work week. As the wind shifts out of the south Thursday, warmer air will filter into the area. Lows will warm into the upper 50s, with highs back into the low to mid 80s through the end of the week.
A disturbance, building in from the Rockies, meeting up with moisture from the gulf, will bring our next chance (20%) for rain on Monday. This will be a quick-moving system, with skies clearing once again Tuesday.
