Railroad Workers Donate Toys For Kids

The holidays will be a little brighter for some Longview kids thanks to the East Texas railroad workers. Workers with Union Pacific railroad and triple-a limousine banded together to donate enough money to buy more than 8-thousand dollars in clothes and toys for foster children in Gregg county. Workers were gathering the toys today to be delivered to children who had presented a "wish list" to their foster families. For many involved it was a chance to spread the message that Christmas is a time of giving.

"It's one of the best things to happen to me, it gives me great pleasure , great joy, and most of all it's so Christ-like to just be something positive in a childs mind" says drive organizer Joy Green.

Toys will be collected for the kids until December 20th, and donations can be made at the Union Pacific station on Eastman road.
