Camp Fire Organization Sending Supplies To Troops In Iraq

Kids with the Camp Fire USA organization in Longview have been sending supplies and letters to the U.S. soldiers overseas, and they want your help to continue. Now they're opening the drive up to the public.

They're collecting items like lotion, hand sanitizers, eye drops and even Christmas ornaments. Dozens of boxes have already been sent to Iraq. Today one of the soldiers called to say thank you.

"He called today to thank us and we had sent decorated pine cones. He hung them up in his office because they didn't have a tree to hang them from. We have sent some trees but not enough," says Shirley Hook with the Camp Fire organization.

If you'd like to make donations just call 903-759-1726 to get a list of items.
