(WMC) - It's been an monumental weekend for one Senatobia High School senior. Her family considers her nothing short of a miracle, as she celebrated Saturday's milestone birthday.

Kaleigh Pearce celebrated her birthday princess style as the fictional Elsa from Frozen, but Friday night she was real-life royalty moments after her father escorted her on to the homecoming court of Senatobia High School. There, Kaleigh was crowned homecoming queen.

"It was really good it made me really happy," said Pearce.

For her 18th birthday, Kaleigh was showered with gifts, most of them Frozen related. More Barbies to add to her collection, minus the 200 she has donated to needy children, and an iPhone.

For her mother, every day with her daughter is a gift: Kaleigh was born with three holes in her heart.

"After the open heart surgery she didn't do very well. They actually told us to come in and hold her until she passed away," said Brandie Henson. "We just begged God for mercy over her and to show his grace in her life, and he has just done miraculous things."

Kaleigh takes those miracles in stride, more concerned about whether her party guests are enjoying the water slide she requested.

A special girl, celebrating more than one special milestone. Her costume from a from a fairytale, but the crown was a honor bestowed upon her by her classmates.
