EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - High pressure will continue to build into place for the beginning of the work week, but an approaching front will bring a chance for rain in the next few days.
?After a cool weekend, a ridge of high pressure will warm highs back to where they should be for this time of the year, into the upper 80s to low 90s across East Texas today.
By late Monday, a cold front will start to make its way into our area, from the northwest, meeting up with moisture streaming in from the gulf of Mexico. As these two meet, along with a few weak disturbances that will try to build into the area, we will have a chance for showers and storms Monday evening (20%), Tuesday (30%), and Wednesday (20%).
We could see a few lingering showers on Thursday, but high pressure will begin to build into place, ending any chance for rain for the end of the work week.
Lows will stay in the low 70s all week, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
