ATHENS, TX (KLTV) - An Athens mother has been indicted for capital murder in connection with the death of her four-year-old daughter, Victoria Wyatt.

According to the Henderson County District Attorney's Office, Stacie Marie Parsons was indicted Wednesday for one count of capital murder and three counts of attempted capital murder.

Parsons was arrested in July after she told police that she murdered her child. According to the sheriff's office, Parsons, 25, walked into the Athens Police Department and told police she killed her daughter, Victoria Wyatt. When police arrived, they found Victoria dead in the trunk of a car with trauma to her head and chest at Parsons' home in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Athens.

An autopsy revealed Wyatt, who was found dead in the trunk of her mother's car, died of blunt force injuries to the head, a stab wound of the chest, and drowning.

Parsons remains in the Henderson County Jail on a $2 million bond.
