He's taken his first trip to Washington as a congressman-elect, and today Louie Gohmert was back home in Tyler. Gohmert spoke at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon telling the crowd about his new office in Washington, and about his first experiences meeting other Texas legislators. He also told the crowd that, when he starts in January, security is still his main concern.
"I am going to be pushing for controlling the borders like we don't now. I think it is so critical. Virtually all the people want to work but there are many who don't and we know it only takes 19 to knock down biggest buildings we've got."
Next on his agenda back in Washington, committee assignments, and hiring his capitol staff.
