SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
The suspect in a Smith County convenience store hold-up is now behind bars in the county jail.
Late Monday, Tyler police were tipped off that Alberto Aguilar, 30, was walking along Walton road, near Pearl Street. Officers took him into custody without incident after 11 p.m.
Aguilar is accused of robbing the Super Food Mart in the 1200 block of Northeast Loop 323 on Monday afternoon. The clerk told authorities that she had been robbed at knife point and the suspect left with cash in gold Toyota sedan.
The vehicle was later located at a residence in the 3000 block of Frankston Highway and is being processed for evidence by the Smith County Sheriff's Office.
114th District Judge Christi Kennedy set Aguilar's bond at $650,000.
