Man indicted for setting girlfriend on fire; others charged

A Longview man accused of dousing his girlfriend with lighter fluid, then using a lighter to set her on fire has been indicted.

Longview Police Department said the incident happened July 26 in the 400 block of East Hope Drive in Longview. Officers arrested 36-year-old Cannon Ebarb at the scene. They say the victim's daughter called police at around 3 p.m.

The victim was a 53-year-old woman who was left with burns to her face and body.

Ebarb was charged with aggravated assault. His bond is set at $100,000.

Others indicted were:

Isaiah Roberts, 29, of Tyler, was indicted on charges of capital murder in a June 2014 incident.

Deterryon Tyrell Kelly, of Marshall, was indicted on charges of capital murder in a June 3 incident.

Robert Justin Moorhead, 33, of Kilgore, was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle in a July 21 incident.

Daniel Thomas Barnes, 24, of Longview, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a June 19 incident.

Shy Anne Rogers, 17, of Hallsville, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a June 18 incident.

Michael Douglas Williams, 32, of Longview, was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated third or more offense in a June 9 incident.

Jennifer L. Murphy, 31, of Longview, was indicted on two charges of assault family violence enhanced in a June 26 incident.

Jeramy Lynn Reese, 28, of Henderson, was indicted on charges of forgery in a June 18 incident.

Jesse Leon Christian, 32, of Hutchins, was indicted on charges of forgery in a July 17, incident.

Chase Jordan Vinson, 26, of Kilgore, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a July 26 incident.

Stephen Lynn Thomas, 52, of Itasca, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a July 11 incident.

Tressie Kristeen Flowers, 36, of Hallsville, was indicted on charges of Possession of a controlled substance in a June 6 incident.

Curtis Scott McKelvey, 23, of Longview, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a Jan. 6 incident.

Joshua Deshotel, 33, of Ore City, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a March 19 incident.

Carl Vincent Vanzandt, Jr., 29, of Longview, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a April 18 incident.

Cody Miller, 28, of Longview, was indicted on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child in a June 11 incident.

Joshua Bennet, 34, of Longview was indicted on charges of failure to register in a March 3 incident.

Diego Mena, 52, of Mount Pleasant, was indicted on charges of indecency with a child in a June 20 incident.

Randy Lee Rodenberg, 31, wad indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a July 26 incident.

Jonathan Bryant Madewell, 33, of Marshall, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a July 26 incident.

Johnnie Roper Sargent, 45, White Oak, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building in a July 26 incident.

Derrick Demond Spearman, 35, of Longview, was indicted on charges of habitual theft in a June 19 incident.

Lawrence Oliver, 45, of Longview, was indicted on charges of habitual evading in a June 20 incident.

Kyle Daniel Smith, 23, of Longview, was indicted on charges of retaliation in a June 12 incident.

Jaime Marie Hubbard, 38, of Mineola, was indicted on charges of delivery of a controlled substance in a June 5 incident.

Alvin Charles McKnight, Jr., 32, of Gilmer, was indicted on charges of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in a June 24 incident.

Michael Garcezers Austin, 46, of Kilgore, was indicted on charges of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle in a July 20 incident.

Jimmy Deal Collier, 54, of Balch Springs, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a June 14 incident.

Crystal Starr Phillips, 32, of Seagoville, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a June 14 incident.
