7 from 7: Suspect in bank robbery is rather surprising, considering his job

 Good afternoon; we hope your day is going well.

1. Police have just released information about the suspect apprehended in the Capital One Bank robbery in Tyler. The man arrested is 37-year-old Daniel River Burson of McKinney. This robbery suspect is not who you might expect to rob a bank; he is a Capital One corporate security consultant/investigator. If convicted, Burson could face 20 years in prison.

2. East Texas soldier returning from Afghanistan was welcomed home Tuesday morning. Dozens gathered at Tyler Pounds Regional airport to greet Sergeant First Class Rodney Eubanks as he walked into the terminal. Eubanks said he was up nearly 24 hours traveling before finally landing in Tyler.

3. A Lufkin man has pleaded guilty in connection to driving his $2.2 million car into a Galveston County lagoon in October 2009.Federal court information shows Andy House, 39, entered a guilty plea on Tuesday, just 12 days after a charge was filed, on a charge of wire mail fraud. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

7. An East Texas teacher is among six finalists for a state Teacher of the Year award. The Texas Association of School Administrators said in a press release Tuesday that Whitney Crews, of Lindale Independent School District was selected by a panel of judges that included representatives of the state's teacher organizations. That's quite an honor! Congratulations to Ms. Crews.
