TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Some East Texas newborns are about to go on public display.

Last month the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler had to do a little rearranging so the spoonbills in their exhibit could give birth. The first group of spoonbills were born between June 22 and July 18, marking the first time in five years that spoonbills were born at the zoo.

Zookeepers moved the ten spoonbill babies into a private area shortly after birth. Now, one month later, officials say the spoonbills will be moved into the public exhibit after they grow a little larger. They'll be welcomed by the flamingos and numerous other birds that make their home at the zoo.
