GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The rumble of fire trucks, and 'hot pink' make for a memorable combination in East Texas this weekend.

The 'Pink Heals' fire trucks and vehicles tour were in Longview Sunday, preparing to make surprise stops at some East Texas homes. The pink vehicles are part of a national non-profit organization that teams up with the local first responders to honor women fighting breast cancer and other debilitating diseases.

On every stop, people get a chance to sign the vehicles and sometimes meet the founder of the movement.

"Why not put our women first in all things, create a brand, and the only way you create a brand in this country is take action. We drove a pink fire truck across America to inspire our people in this country to start fundraising for the love of a person and so we celebrate our women," says organization founder Dave Graybill.

The tour will visit patients in five different Gregg County locations beginning at 8 a.m. in Gladewater on Monday at Brookshire's.
