Man on motorcycle leads police on high speed chase

(KLTV) - A man on a motorcycle led police on a high speed chase across three East Texas counties Sunday morning.

Police say the chase started in Kaufman County shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday. It crossed through Van Zandt and Smith Counties before ending at a gas station near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Highway 69. The motorcycle reached speeds close to 100 mph.

Police say the suspect, Justin Bernard Rusk, was taken to Kaufman County jail. He has been charged with a felony of evading arrest, detention with vehicle.
