An East Texas man is in jail after deputies say he set two trailer homes on fire and told officers he was high on synthetic marijuana.

23-year-old Chase Dupree is charged with two counts of assaulting a public servant, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Deputies say he was harassing a woman early this morning at an RV park off of Highway 259 in Longview.

Dupree is accused of setting his trailer and the woman's trailer on fire.

Deputies say he fought them during his arrest, kicking one deputy in the shoulder.

"What he remembers is smoking some K-2, going home, and then the next thing he remembers is he's in jail. He didn't remember starting the fires, he didn't remember fighting with officers. He remembers waking up in the Gregg County jail," says Gregg County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Kirk Haddix.

Investigators are in the process of adding arson to Dupree's charges.
