Countdown to Christmas Tree Lighting

If you haven't seen the "Square" in Downtown Tyler, it's already beginning to look a lot like Christmas. From now, until the lighting ceremony on Thursday, workers will be putting up 2,600 multi-colored lights for the big night. From a life-size doll house, to Rudolph and his red nose, workers set up several images of Christmas that will line the "Square". At the center will be a 30- foot tall Christmas tree donated from a farm in Winnsboro.

The tree-lighting ceremony is set for Thursday, December 2nd immediately following the 6 o'clock Christmas parade on the square in Tyler. It is free to the public.
