TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The United Way, Tyler ISD, and Wal-Mart have teamed up for a “Stuff the Bus” event. They will be filling a school bus at the Wal-Mart on Highway 64 in Tyler with school supplies. Organizers are also asking for donations of living essentials for kids in need. The supplies will be donated to underprivileged children in classrooms all over Smith County.

“The inability to afford school supplies should not be an obstacle to a child's success in school. Whenever we came to Tyler ISD with this, they were completely on board. The need was there… With United Way, we are here to fill in whatever needs we can within the community to make Smith County a better place,” said Stephen Rainwater, Development Director for United Way of Smith County.

The “Stuff the Bus’ campaign runs through Sunday night. You can drop off donated items inside the Wal-Mart.
