A Few Cold "Turkeys" At Annual 5k Run

Some East Texans braved the chilly weather early Thursday morning for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner work out.
More than 100 souls ventured into the cold for Premier Fitness' 2nd Annual Turkey Trot.
The temperature at the start of the race, 35 degrees.
The 5K Run/Walk included a 50 yard dash for the younger fitness fans. Some of the little ones moved so fast they came right out of their shoes.
Contestants said despite the morning chill, their minds were on keeping a fit not the cold air.
"Well, I like running," said Rachel Carroll. "Usually when you start running the cold isn't a factor because you start to get warm so I guess, it's not really that bad once you start running."
All proceeds from the race benefit the Boys and Girls club of East Texas.
