Manziel mania at Cleveland Browns first training camp practice

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A capacity crowd of about 4,000 fans came out for Johnny Manziel's first training camp practice with the Browns.

Manziel worked with the second team offense, and according to several reports, the quarterback fared pretty well. The Tyler native showed his athleticism and connected on a few deep throws. .Johnny also put on a show for the fans by pulling the ball down and running.

Brian Hoyer may be penciled in as Cleveland's starting quarterback, but Manziel will always win the popularity contest.

"I've had an incredible fan base that has really followed me and really come out of the wood works here in Cleveland and its truly incredible," Manziel said. "I'm truly thankful to have those guys, but more than anything its not just my name on the back, its Cleveland, its the Browns."

Johnny went on to say, "The reason I'm popular or the reason people follow me and there is such a buzz around me is when I went out on Saturdays at Texas A&M, I played with an extreme amount of passion. I played with my heart on my sleeve but more than anything I had fun. I have fun going out on this field playing football. It's what I live for, its what I do."
