DEA finds illegal steroid manufacturing lab in Cherokee Co. home

CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

On Thursday, The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was informed of a possible drug lab in a residence in the Mixon community, near Bullard.

Investigators and deputies from the sheriff's department executed a search warrant on the home, located on FM 3052. Assisted by DPS narcotics investigators and DEA agents, they found the lab and identified the chemicals inside. They located containers of Anadrol (oxymetholone), D-bol (methandrostenolone) and Cialis. Also, they say they found lab equipment such as beakers, flasks, burettes, tubing and vacuum chambers. Another find was a notebook of recipes and outlines for the manufacture of steroids.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time. No arrest has been made.

They do say that they cannot accurately estimate the value of the items collected, since this type of lab is "very rare."
