University of Houston targeting East Texas in recruiting

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

The University of Houston was in Kilgore on Thursday for its football camp, and the Cougars are establishing a report with East Texas players.

Former John Tyler stars Greg Ward and Tyus Bowser are set to begin their sophomore season with Houston, and 2015 product, Kilgore running back Kevrin Justice is verbally committed to the Cougars. Justice who rushed for over 1,900 hundred yards and 36 touchdowns last season likes what the university has to offer.

"When I went and took a tour of their school, they made me feel like I was at home, and I really love their program and what they are doing with it," Justice said. He added, "They said Houston is on the rise, and I believe in that. I want to take the next step up and help them with what they need me to do."
