Most flash flood watches dropped, a few added, with more forecast

(KLTV) -

Flash Flood Watches are in effect until at least early tomorrow for Henderson, Anderson, Houston, Trinity and Polk counties.

Total rainfall so far today has averaged 1"-3" with some areas exceeding 4", and more is on the way.

?The greatest risk here in East Texas will, once again, be flash flooding. The risk is highest over the SW sections of East Texas. Most of the rain, outside of the flash flood watches, will be under the limits for the flash flood watches. Please be safe out there if you see water over roadways. Turn around, don't drown. Find another way home.

Rain chances overnight and tomorrow morning will be in the 80%-100% range, tapering off to near 50% by afternoon and then even lower chances, or 30%, by early Saturday morning. Throughout the weekend, the chances for scattered showers and a few isolated PM thunderstorms will continue, but to a much lower extent.
