AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - An attorney for Lance Armstrong says the banned-for-life cyclist met in May with the panel investigating cycling's doping past.

Armstrong attorney Elliot Peters declined to reveal specifics of what was discussed in the seven-hour meeting on May 22 at a hotel outside Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C., but says Armstrong set up the meeting.

Peters told The Associated Press on Thursday that "Lance answered all their questions."

The panel is expected to issue its report on doping to the International Cycling Union later this year.

Peters says there was no request or offer to reduce Armstrong's lifetime ban from sport in exchange for the meeting. Armstrong was banned over his use of performance-enhancing drugs.
