Chemical spill in Lindale. (Source: KLTV news staff)
LINDALE, TX (KLTV) -
An accident on Highway 69 North in Lindale led to a non-hazardous chemical spill on the roadway.
According to Lindale police, an SUV pulled out of Petty's Seafood Restaurant into the path of a pickup truck which was pulling a gooseneck trailer. The trailer was loaded with containers of industrial polymers, and some of that load spilled out onto the roadway.
No one was hurt in the accident, police say, but firefighters are working to spread sand on the spill in the road. HAZMAT will come vacuum the sand up after it has absorbed the spill.
While traffic is able to move around the spill, drivers are asked to use extreme caution in the area while crews are working to clean it up.
