 Good afternoon!

Here are some stories for you to check out today:

1. The arrest affidavit has been released today in the case of Russel Lindstrom, who was charged with manslaughter after his four-year-old daughter died in a hot car in the yard.

2. The family involved in an overnight crash in Kilgore has been identified. The Patel family was driving on Loop 259 when the father, Ketanbhai Patel, saw a Ford F-350 driven by 22-year-old Shelby Taylor headed southbound in the northbound lane.   Patel's two children were killed in the crash that ensued.

A 79-year-old man was airlifted to a Tyler hospital on Thursday after his single-engine plane crashed south of Mt. Vernon shortly after takeoff. Department of Public Safety Trooper Sylvia Jennings says Bobby Kenneth Terry of Mt. Vernon lost power in his plane and hit trees. He is in serious condition in a local hospital.

A man charged with killing four children and their parents in Spring last night was dressed as a delivery man when he forced his way into the family's suburban Houston home and held the kids at gunpoint until their parents arrived, police said Thursday.  He was an ex-brother-in-law of the couple.

A 4-year-old girl born with the AIDS virus and in remission for more than two years despite stopping treatment now shows signs that she still harbors HIV - and therefore is not cured. The news is a setback to hopes that very early treatment with powerful HIV drugs might reverse an infection that has seemed permanent once it takes hold.
