HOUSTON (AP) - Seven construction workers have been rescued from a van that crashed through a highway barrier and plunged into a Houston bayou.
Emergency personnel using a boat and extending a ladder reached the victims Wednesday morning.
Authorities did not immediately release names of the men, who were transported to a hospital to be treated for apparent minor injuries.
Officials believe the workers were headed for a construction site when the white van went out of control and hit the water. At one point the seven men were seen on the roof or hanging out of the windows of the van left swamped up to the windows.
Authorities are trying to determine what caused the accident.
