KANSAS CITY, MO (CBS46) -

Would you ride the world's tallest water slide?

For the first time, a human tried out the world's tallest water slide. A Garmin action camera caught the first ride down on the "Verruckt," which means insane.

An engineer and designer of the ride were the brave souls to test it out.

The grand opening for the slide has been delayed several times. It's 168 feet tall, which is taller than Niagara Falls.

Speeds on the slide reach up to 65 mph.

If everything goes according to plan, the ride will open to the public in Kansas City by the end of July.
