TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

A woman injured in a motorcycle accident in Tyler early Saturday morning has died.

Police say 67-year-old Margaret Moore, a Tyler resident, died from her injuries after the motorcycle she was riding on crashed in the 5000 block of Paluxy Drive.

Witnesses say a motorcycle was traveling north on Paluxy at a high rate of speed when it struck the back of a vehicle also traveling north on Paluxy. The rider of the motorcycle lost control and was thrown from the bike, which slid into the southbound lanes of Paluxy Dr. A three-wheeled motorcycle traveling southbound on Paluxy didn't see the disabled bike and struck it. The trike went airborne, ejecting its passenger, Moore, from the trike.

Moore, along with the rider of the motorcycle, were transported to Tyler hospitals. Moore was in the intensive care unit before she died from her injuries. The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries in the wreck.

The accident remains under investigation while authorities wait for toxicology reports to be returned. Investigators believe alcohol may have played a factor in the accident.
