Monday's Weather: Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the low 90s

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - After a beautiful weekend, we'll have a beautiful start to the work week!

A ridge of high pressure will continue to bring mostly sunny skies to East Texas, along with highs in the low 90s. A few spotty showers will be possible over Deep East Texas this afternoon, but for the most part, we'll stay dry today. Winds will stay out of the south from 5-10 mph.

Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies, and lows in the low 70s by the early morning hours tomorrow.

Mostly sunny skies will continue through the middle of the week, but the chance for showers will return Tuesday in Deep East Texas, and Wednesday for the rest of the area. A weak cold front will build into the region, bringing the chance for isolated showers and a few storms through Thursday, mainly in the afternoon and early evening hours each day. This front won't quite make it through our area, so highs will stay a little warm, in the low to mid 90s.

By the end of the week, ridging will build back into place, bringing sunny skies through the weekend. Highs will warm into the upper 90s by then.
