Disabled Vietnam veteran minister inspires in Longview

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An inspirational message of perseverance on this holiday weekend, delivered by a disabled Vietnam veteran minister.

At Longview's Mobberly Baptist Church, minister and Vietnam veteran Tim Lee preached on the importance of faith and perseverance, something he knows a lot about.

Lee lost both legs when he stepped on a land mine in 1971 in Vietnam. His journey since then has led him to a strong faith in God, a faith he passes on to anyone who needs to overcome life's obstacles.

"I think God lets us go through things so we can help others. Whatever struggle you're having in your life, somewhere down the road you're going to be able to help somebody with their struggles," Tim says.

Lee travels the country with his ministry and works to help a new generation of disabled veterans to overcome their limitations.
