A motorcycle accident leaves two injured Saturday morning.

A major traffic accident involving a motorcycle leaves two injured in Tyler.
Tyler police officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Paluxy Drive at 12:31 a.m. Saturday. Witnesses say a motorcycle, traveling northbound on Paluxy at a high speed, struck the back of another vehicle. The rider was separated from the motorcycle after losing control.
According to witnesses, the unmanned motorcycle slid into the southbound lanes of Paluxy, colliding with a three wheeled motorcycle traveling southbound. A passenger was ejected from the three wheeled motorcycle as the trike was airborne.
Police say the rider of the motorcycle and the passenger from the trike were transported to East Texas Medical Center and Trinity Mother Frances. The rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries. The passenger of the trike suffered critical injuries and is in the Intensive Care Unit.
Accident investigators are investigating the accident; they believe alcohol may have played a factor in the cause of the accident.
