Two arrested in early morning armed robbery, one suspect still at large

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police apprehended two of three suspects in an early morning convenience store robbery after a short foot chase.

Just after 4:40 a.m., Friday morning, Tyler police officers were dispatched to the Food Fast located at 1707 East Front in reference to an aggravated robbery.

The clerk informed dispatch that she was robbed at gun point by two black males who afterward left running toward the rear of the business.

Officers immediately arrived in the area and located the suspect vehicle as they were driving away. Three suspects jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot with officers giving chase.

Tyler Police Officers quickly set a perimeter around the area and after lengthy foot pursuit, two of the three suspects, Parker Reed Terry,19, and Marquis Willoughby, 23, were apprehended.

No one was injured during the robbery or in the apprehension of the two suspects. A major crimes detective was called to the scene to start the investigation.

    An East Texas boy scout has achieved his goal of raising enough money to purchase 31 bullet proof vests in 31 days. 13 year old Jaxon Holland was raising the funds for his Eagle Scout project and surpassed his goal. Holland raised $18,000 which will cover 34 vests plus accessories. The vests will be donated to the Wood County Sheriff’s office.
