LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A large commercial structure caught fire on the 1200 block of West Loop 281 Wednesday morning.

Police say the fire was located behind Ashley Furniture, and they advised people to seek alternate routes to avoid the area.

The Longview Fire Marshal was on the scene, along with five fire trucks, including a ladder truck. They say the first battalion chief on the scene immediately called for a second alarm after being dispatched at 9:17 a.m.

Crews worked inside the structure, attacking the fire. Officials say the fire was contained at 9:52 a.m. and completely out by 10:40 a.m.

Authorities say the warehouse contained furniture, mattresses, and boxes, totaling about $40,000 worth of product lost. The fire marshall is investigating the damage made to the 24,000 square foot building. Starting in the southeast corner of the structure, the cause of the fire is unknown.

No one was in the building, and no injuries occurred.
