1. Police in Longview are still searching for Wesley Byron Smith, who they say stole two vehicles last night from a car lot, wrecked them both, and then hijacked a woman in a parking lot. Also, you will hear more from people who know Smyth tonight on KLTV News at 6.

3. A former Harrison County jailer has been arrested. According to Harrison County authorities, Jessica Stringfellow, 24, admitted during an interview that she had sex with one of the inmates.  She was immediately fired and arrested, authorities say.

4.  Due to a fault in the high security locking system inside Van Zandt County jail, some prisoners were transferred to other jails until the problem with the locks can be resolved

5. Two sanitation workers were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car struck a garbage truck in Longview on Monday. The accident and scene were described by Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary as "horrific."  The investigation into the accident is ongoing, but police believe intoxication was a factor.

6. As you're having fun this holiday weekend, please remember that it is imperative that you not drink and drive. As a special reminder, DPS will have extra patrols at crucial times and locations, watching for any signs of intoxicated driving.
