A.J. Minter selected to Team USA

Former Brook Hill pitcher A.J. Minter has been selected to the 24 man roster for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.  The Texas A&M junior has spent the past week in Cary, North Carolina with some of the best college players in the country.  Minter will travel to Europe and Cuba over the next month.

"This is a once in the lifetime opportunity," said Minter.  "With the World Cup going on right now, it doesn't get any better.  I'm getting a chance to play a sport I love, a sport with a great group of guys that are representing from all over the country.  Getting to represent our amazing country, the best country in the world and getting to wear red, white and blue on your chest is a pretty special thing."

Minter and Team USA will play Chinese Taipei and Japan in North Carolina, before leaving for a tournament in the Netherlands.  Team USA will wrap up the schedule with a five game series in Cuba in late July.
