Former Longview Lobo Trent Williams holds football camp

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - In Longview, former Lobo Trent Williams put on his first ever football camp. The Washington Redskins offensive tackle is entering his fifth year in the NFL.

Williams, a two time pro-bowler, is really coming into his own. The former Oklahoma Sooner says he is trying to become an elite player in the league and Williams believes he's well on his way. Over 100 campers participated in Williams' camp and in addition to learning some new skills, the kids took home some valuable lessons.

"Coming back and putting on a free camp was no hesitation on my part," Williams said. "You know just try to teach them life skills of responsibility and being accountable. I'm finding my way in this league you know its definitely a man's league and it took me a couple years to catch on. But, I have worked my butt off the last few years and it started to show off so I'm going to keep that regimen going."
