AUSTIN, TX (KLTV) -
47-year-old Kenneth Latham, a man on the Texas 10 most wanted fugitives list, was arrested on Wednesday evening in Nash, TX. Latham was wanted for simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance and parole violation.
In response to tip information, a traffic stop was conducted at 9:30 pm Wednesday in order to locate Latham. He was arrested and taken into custody at that time without incident.
Since his capture was the result of a tip, a reward of up to $10,000 will be paid.
In 1998, Latham was sentenced to 35 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance and was paroled in 2005. He was sentenced to 6 years and 11 months in 2007 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, and again paroled in 2009.
The Texas Department of Public Safety have arrested 10 Texas 10 most wanted fugitives and sex offenders so far in 2014. To be eligible for cash rewards, anyone with information can provide anonymous tips through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-8477.
