(TYLER, TX) – On Saturday, June 28, True Vine Brewing Co. will host an event from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at its 219 Englewood location in Tyler. Called “Open Taps,” this event features the brewery’s own beers, live music, food from Rusty Taco and activities for kids. Presale admission is $10 a person and $15 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the programs and services of Meals on Wheels Ministry.

“We are Tyler’s first brewing company, and the community has been so supportive of our business,” said Stephen Lee, one of True Vine’s co-founders. “That’s the reason we host Open Taps every month, so we can give back to the community and support local organizations.”

Open Taps is held at the brewery on the last Saturday of each month and features a different local non-profit during each event. “This is a fun event that’s perfect for the whole family, and we are so excited to be a part of it this weekend,” said Mike Powell, Meals on Wheels President/CEO. “Tyler is growing so quickly, and it’s great to see young entrepreneurs like the founders of True Vine standing as partners with community organizations like Meals on Wheels Ministry.”

Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers will be there Saturday to help with the event and to present information to anyone who is interested in learning more about its work and service to the community.

Meals on Wheels Ministry currently serves over 3,000 seniors and homebound individuals in 30 communities across six counties including Gregg, Henderson, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood counties.
