MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) - A car drove through the front of the Beall's department store on Highway 69 in Mineola on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Beall's employee, the car crashed through the front of the store and ended up near the cosmetics counter. The employee said the woman thought she was pressing the brake, but instead hit the gas pedal.

"One of the girls that worked here walked through Beall's and right after she got into Beall's the car came in behind her," says Melisa Champang, an employee at a nearby store.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash.

Chamang says she was surprised to see how far the car went into the store,"I really don't know how it happened... I don't know how she made it through the concrete pillars and the truck that was parked there."

The store will be closed for the remainder of the day on Wednesday.
