Posted: Updated:
TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police are searching for a suspect who they say assaulted a McDonald's employee late Monday night.

Police say the assault happened at the McDonald's on the southwest loop in Tyler around 11:56 p.m. on Monday. A black male approached a female employee who was coming outside to deliver food, punched her, took the food, then fled the store heading north.

The suspect is described as thin black male wearing a white tee shirt and orange ball cap. He is approximately 5'7"-5'9" and 140-150 pounds.

A search of the area turned up no leads and the case is still under investigation.

Tyler police originally believed the incident to be a robbery as well, but later determined that the man had already paid for the food he took.
