EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -
A slow moving disturbance brought widespread rain to East Texas for your Sunday, and while the rain cleared overnight, we’ll have even more building in for the beginning of the work week.
Scattered showers and storms will build ahead of a cold front today, moving in from the northwest. These storms are not expected to become severe, but they could be strong, with moderate to heavy rainfall at times. These storms will begin to build into East Texas this morning, around 9 a.m., continuing throughout the day. We will keep you updated as these progress into the area.
Highs will stay a little warm, into the upper 80s to low 90s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Winds will stay out of the south from 10-15 mph.
Winds will stay out of the south for the rest of the week, bringing moisture in from the Gulf. This will allow showers and storms to pop up across East Texas, mainly in the afternoon hours each day. Lows will stay in the mid 70s, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s through the weekend.
