EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -
Overall, we’ll have a warm and humid day, with partly to mostly sunny skies, and scattered showers and storms possible.
The ridge of high pressure to our east will keep today’s highs in the upper 80s to low 90s once again over East Texas. Winds will stay out of the south along the outer boundary of that high, continuing to bring moisture in from the Gulf. Winds will stay around 10-15 mph.
Once again, we’ll have scattered showers possible this afternoon, as that moisture streams in from the south. As we continue to heat up during the day, a few storms will be possible this afternoon as well. Showers and storms will need the heat of the day to hold together, so expect any chance for rain to clear as the sun sets this evening.
Overnight, we’ll have partly cloudy skies, winds from the south from 5-15 mph, and lows once again in the low 70s. The humidity will return overnight, making for a muggy start to your Thursday.
The chance for afternoon showers and a few storms will linger through Thursday, clearing by the end of the work week as the ridge of high pressure builds back into the region. Highs will stay in the upper 80s to low 90s through the beginning of next week, with lows in the low to mid 70s.
