$4.6M raised for families of fallen Granite Mountain hot shots

PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

The 100 Club said it received $4.6 million for the families of the 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hot Shot crew who died battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in June 2013.

The club said it has given out $3.5 million to those families for living expenses, medical and health insurance and counseling as the first anniversary of the fire approaches.

Here is a breakdown of the how the funds have been dispersed:

  • $332,500 - Survivor Benefits
  • $497,262.06 - Living expenses & support services
  • $47,024.38 - Medical & Health Insurance
  • $1,846,677.85 - Home/Vehicle/Debt Elimination
  • $675,740.86 - Funeral, Memorials, Memorial Services/Travel & Lodging
  • $103,528.68 - Counseling

The funds are still being handed out weekly, the club said.
