EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -
We have another warm and humid start to the day, with just a few clouds. The good news is that the humidity will continue to decrease throughout the day, but we'll get warmer this afternoon.
A ridge of high pressure to our west will continue to bring winds from the south over East Texas. This will keep highs right where they should be for this time of year, once again in the upper 80s to low 90s. A few showers and thundershowers will remain possible this afternoon, especially over Deep East Texas, as moisture continues to move in from the Gulf. Winds will stay out of the south from 10-15 mph throughout the day.
We'll see a better chance for showers and a few storms on Wednesday. The ridge of high pressure will shift slightly to the east, allowing more moisture to enter our area. The best timing for any rain will be in the afternoon/early evening, clearing as the sunsets.
High pressure will quickly build back into place, bringing partly to mostly sunny skies through the end of the week. Highs will stay about average, in the upper 80s to low 90s, with lows in the low 70s.
